Our client has an immediate opening for a J2EE Solutions Engineer.

Position Description:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product & Technology you
will work with a world class technology team and be responsible for
the management and execution of new requirements development, testing,
maintenance and troubleshooting of existing releases of our software
solutions. Our client has built a foundation from which delivery and
flawless execution is expected to drive aggressive success.

Responsibilities:

* Fix software defects.
* Investigate and resolve system issues, especially in the areas of
scalability, and performance.
* Support existing releases of client systems and assist with
development of new releases.
* Investigate/diagnose customer emergencies; formulate workarounds.
* Respond to requests for information on product architecture, design
and behaviour from Customer Support.
* Design, implement and unit test code to enhance existing features or
extend functionality of products.
* Participate in product testing.
* Provide guidance to other members of the team.
* Act as a technical resource for internal and external sources.

Skills and Expertise Required:

* 3-5 years experience Java programming Language in similar position.
* Understanding Object Oriented and SOA Models.
* J2EE skills (JSF/JSP, Servlets, Java Persistence, JDBC, Java
Security API, Java XML API, Web Services).
* Experience in using Development tools such as Netbeans IDE/ Sun Java
Studio / Jbuilder
* MySQL/Oracle/MSSQL
* Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environment.
* Experience in Open source Framework such as Hibernate, Log4J,
OSWorkflow, Quartz.
* Experience in .Net and C# is an asset.
