QA TESTER (J2EE WEB)


COMPANY PROFILE:

Development shop specializing in security


JOB TYPE: Permanent
LOCATION: Toronto,Ontario,Canada
STARTING: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- SR QA: details to follow

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Strong experience in QA methodologies and processes
- Strong testing of web-based applicatiopns (J2EE)
- Demonstrable experience with System Integration Testing
- Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases (pl/sql scripting
preferred)
- Windows application test experience in a formal testing environment
- Experience with system integration testing in large/complete network
environments
- Ability to develop test plans and test case documentation
- Knowledge of automation tools and various scripting environments
- Experience with Black Box / White Box testing techniques (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of network protocols (IP family of protocols,
TLS/SSL)
- Understanding of network and telecommunication architectures
- Experience with firewall policies and http proxies
- Security concepts/ PKI background and understanding
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks to shifting priorities
and deadlines

"NICE TO HAVE" SKILLS:

- Test tool development
- Knowledge of OpenSSL, CSP, PKCS#11
- Network/system vulnerability testing
- Testing USB or embedded devices
- C / C++ code experience
- ISO 27001 or Common Criteria compliance experience
- Background in the telecommunications field
- Java/J2EE QA testing
- Websphere, Tomcat experience
